Safety Tips and Safety Hub

We are dedicated to providing a safe and respectful environment for all our users. Our platform incorporates an expanded Security Pledge that addresses a wide range of harmful behaviors, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience.

Safety Tips and Safety Hub.

Verified identity is an important safety measure, but it is not a guarantee of character, intentions or future conduct. These Safety Tips form part of our safety framework and should be followed whenever you communicate with or meet another member.

1. Safety Tips

  • Keep early conversations on the platform where possible so suspicious conduct can be reported and reviewed.
  • Never send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards or financial credentials to someone because of a dating interaction, particularly where there is urgency, secrecy or pressure.
  • Do not share passwords, one-time codes, internet banking credentials, card details or other sensitive financial information.
  • Consider a voice or video call before meeting, while remembering that video itself is not proof of good intentions and can potentially be manipulated.
  • For a first meeting, choose a public place, arrange your own transport, tell a trusted person where you are going and consider sharing your plans or location with them.
  • Be cautious if someone quickly tries to move communications off-platform, isolates you from friends or family, pressures you emotionally, asks for secrecy, or creates repeated emergencies involving money.
  • Trust your judgement. If something feels wrong, end the interaction, block the member where appropriate and report the matter through the Safety Hub.
  • If you believe you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services. In Australia, call 000.

2. What Verified Identity Does — and Does Not — Mean

Find-a-Husband.com verifies specified identity information through ConnectID with the member’s consent. This may include the member’s name, date of birth, email address, residential address and phone number, depending on the attributes shared.

VERIFIED IDENTITY IS NOT VERIFIED CHARACTER. We do not conduct criminal background checks, check sex offender registers, verify relationship status, certify financial standing or guarantee that a member is honest, safe or suitable as a partner.

A person can be correctly identified and still engage in fraud, manipulation, harassment or other improper conduct. Identity verification reduces an important category of risk; it does not remove the need for normal personal safety precautions.

3. Safety Hub — What Behaviour Should Be Reported

We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment. If conduct makes you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, threatened or concerned about another person’s wellbeing, please report it through the Safety Hub as soon as possible.

  • · Predatory behaviour: actions, threats or patterns of conduct that make you feel unsafe, exploited or at risk.
  • · Grooming or manipulation: attempts to build trust or emotional dependence for exploitative, sexual, financial or other improper purposes.
  • · Financial scams: requests for money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, investments, banking information or other suspicious financial assistance or information.
  • · Catfishing or identity misrepresentation: fake or misleading identity information, impersonation, or use of another person’s identity.
  • · AI-generated or deepfake identity content: AI-generated, face-swapped, deepfake or materially altered profile imagery that misrepresents the account holder’s genuine current likeness.
  • · Harassment: bullying, threats, abuse, persistent unwanted contact or other conduct intended to intimidate or distress.
  • · Stalking: repeated unwanted attention, monitoring or contact that causes fear or concern, whether online or offline.
  • · Discrimination, vilification or hate speech: targeted abuse or vilification based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, political belief or activity, or another protected characteristic where applicable.
  • · Inappropriate or prohibited content: obscene, violent, exploitative, threatening or sexually explicit material that breaches our Terms or Community Guidelines.
  • · Any suspected crime or serious safety concern: conduct that you reasonably believe may involve criminal activity or an immediate or serious risk to a person’s safety.

4. What Happens When You Report

We may review the report, relevant account information and platform activity; preserve relevant evidence; restrict or suspend an account while a safety matter is assessed; remove prohibited content; and take other action permitted by our Terms and applicable law.

Where we reasonably believe a matter involves suspected or reported criminal conduct, fraud, predatory behaviour, grooming, stalking, threats, violence or a serious threat to life, health or safety, we may preserve and disclose relevant information to an appropriate law-enforcement or government authority where required or authorised by law.

Reporting through the Safety Hub is not a substitute for contacting police or emergency services. If you are in immediate danger in Australia, call 000.

5. Residential Address and Personal Safety

Where a member consents to share residential address information through ConnectID, Find-a-Husband.com receives that information for identity verification and related security, fraud and safety purposes. Residential addresses are not displayed to other members. Members should not publish their home address or other unnecessary sensitive location information in their profile or messages.

6. Reporting Channels

Use the Safety Hub and in-platform reporting tools for member, content and safety reports. For general support, privacy or legal enquiries, use the contact facilities provided on Find-a-Husband.com or call 1300 781 244.
